weekend survival guide

GRIP. DRIFT. DIRT. PARTY.

  • share it.

You’ve probably noticed that we’re using a new ticketing platform for 2024, eventbrite.

Download the eventbrite app from Google Play or the Apple Store for the easiest and fastest way to check-in upon arrival, send tickets to friends and purchase ride alongs or activity passes at HyperFest this year.

Need a “how to?” video? Here are the basic steps via screen recordings. It’s to send tickets with the app via iPhone or Android.

If you’re old school, print out those PDFs with QR codes on them and you’ll be ready to rock and roll when you arrive to VIR.

  • Plan it.

Get familiar with where you’re going ahead of HyperFest for the ultimate weekend.

With over 1,300 acres to play on at VIR, we’ve got an action packed weekend in store for you to enjoy!

Check out our camping map and the overall activities map and schedule to build your ultimate weekend at The Automotive Amusement Park - HyperFest!

Trams and shuttle buses will be running throughout the weekend to help you get from the NASA Paddock to Off Road World, and the Infield to GA Parking at Water Tower.

  • do it.

It all began with an idea. HyperFest was the dream of a racer to have a killer weekend with his friends, their friends, and friends of friends of friends. So come out, have fun while you enjoy all things automotive and maybe even learn about a couple new things too!

Tag us on social @hyperfest #hyperfest so we can create a wave of FOMO worldwide.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online is appreciated and we can’t wait to see your take on what makes HyperFest the ultimate weekend for enthusiasts!

camping 101

CAMPING IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.

If you’re not rollin’ in with your homies you probably will not be camping right next to each other.

You will be camping in the section that you have a camping passes within. Don’t “hold spots” - you’re just going to make it take longer for people to get in, get parked and get to HyperFest-ing.

Each campsite can accommodate one (1) vehicle plus other camping accessories like tents, chairs and other normal things you need to camp. By vehicle we mean a car, a truck pulling a camper or a big ol’ honkin RV.

Don’t spill over into your neighbor’s spot. Every spot is marked (it takes us days), so just like when you learned to color or park, stay within the lines.

Please do not make a bonfire… They’re cool until they’re not and it’s just better that you don’t. Thanks in advance!

SO MUCH TO DO. SO MUCH TO SEE.

There is no shortage of activities and action to experience while you’re at HyperFest. Download the schedule and map to have a guide to all the action during the 2024 Haltech HyperFest weekend.

If you have questions or need assistance, stop by the INFO BOOTH located at the entrance to infield along the midway - you’ll see large feather flags and the big red HyperFest merch trailer, can’t miss it!

rules to live by

Lights on after dusk aka 8ish PM

Taping your cell phone on the front of your mini bike doesn't count.   Any vehicle driven or ridden must have a working light pointing forward and an illuminated red light pointing to the rear.  These lights must be factory original or provide equivalent light as factory. If you feel like you’re being a creative genius, congrats! but also no thank you.

No homemade vehicles

We have seen some very creative things over the years however VIR is requiring that any conveyance needs to have at least started out in a factory. While we’re always impressed when you come up with something new, we have to care about the safety of you and those around you. Less homemade, more store bought.

Speed Limit 10mph slow down!

VIR is HUGE and having a vehicle to get around makes the enjoyment of HyperFest that much better!  Any motorcycle large or small, atv, four wheeler, golf cart, electric bicycle, electric unicycle and anything else HyperFest and VIR want to call a vehicle may do no more than 10 mph. Riding at 10 mph is MUCH better than walking at 5 MPH. Trust us.

UNMUFFLED OR POORLY MUFFLED VEHICLES IS A NO NO AFTER 10PM

For crying out loud, some of us are trying to get some sleep!!  If it is too loud you KNOW it's too loud.  Strap a silencer on that thing so you don't have to walk everywhere.

Be thoughtful of others and try not to be “that” person this weekend.

DRIVE ON ROADS & INDICATED PATHS. don’t park there.

Drive/Ride only on the roads and the temporary lanes of the camping areas.

Cutting through camping areas, parking lots or the bouncy house zone is negative Ghostrider.

Off limits are the Rally Course, Off Road World trails and obstacle courses. Anywhere with a “DO NOT ENTER” sign means do not enter.

Speaking of signs, if a place looks “open” it’s probably not magically open for you ... Park only in your camping spot or parking lots.

USE COMMON SENSE. ALL OF IT. ALL THE TIME. FOR REAL - USE IT ALWAYS!

If a HyperFest or VIR official THINKS you are going above the speed limit, thinks you are somewhere you are not supposed to be, or thinks you are being a nuisance then you probably are being one. We don’t want to be the killers of fun but we also want a safe, fun and enjoyable weekend for all attendees. One team, one HyperFest dream - let’s go!

crush the weekend!
